February 2008
Ok, about to go offline and move stuff to new office. Resorting to running long ethernet cable from old to new office!
All is quiet in the house, children sleeping, wife out playing in her band. Eating pistachios.
Tomorrow is the last day in my current office, moving to building next door. Unfortunately phone & broadband aren’t moving until Mar 17! :@(
Nice of my coms company to tell me that today! Prob going to have to run very long ethernet cable from old office to new on for 2.5 weeks!!!
iPod touch firmware update 1.1.4, not sure what it does but installing anyway ;)
Why does the base model MacBook still only have a combo drive? It’s crazy, did Apple buy a job lot of combos they’re trying to use up???!!!!
I think it just looks cheap / inferior when pretty much all cheap laptops (£300 - £500) out there come with a dvdwriter!
AIR Vs Silverlight? Adobe Vs Microsoft? Open... →
TechCrunch ran an article on 26th February titled 'Adobe AIR Vs Microsoft Silverlight: It?s All About Numbers' which kind of compared them both as being quite similar, but it struck me that it's really not a fair comparison.
There's a big difference …

Mmm, interesting. Director not dead after all ;) Interestingly Sys Reqs say ‘Mac OS X 10.4’ and not 10.5, does that mean it’s buggy on 10.5?
Also note they’re not trumpeting the Intel Mac support, I guess because they’ve been around for a couple of years now ;)

Just chilled out all day with the family, nice that it’s staying light later now too.
Great day snowboarding yesterday, great weather, not too busy. Now feeling pretty tired!

Excellent little sliding area script using Scriptaculous and Prototype.
heading to the Cairngorms for a day of snowboarding tomorrow!
Rumours of Flash on iPhone, presumably on iPod touch too, but they’d better not be charging for it this time!!!
Creating flowchart to break down complex deleting process.
Installing 10.5.2 on my work iMac, showing as 341Mb!
The webstock conference lineup looks good, http://webstock.org.nz/bios/, a trip to NZ would be awesome.
Yay for 10.5.2 and switching of the transparent menubar!
Just watched Lost. Tired now and ready for bed. Hoping I might get snowboarding this Thursday!!!
Awesome, just converted my old 4g iPod with faulty 40Gb harddrive to run using a 5Gb microdrive via a $3 adapter bought from eBay :)
My Mother’s 60th today. Had a surprise Chinese buffet meal, then hung out at home and play Wii with my brother.
Getting distracted by http://tinyurl.com/yq34vc again!
Mmm, so apparently Yahoo! are going to say no to Microsoft’s offer. Dramatic stuff.
Ok, going home!
Stoked that my broadband is finally fixed! Normal service is resumed :)
