“Seasons of the Heart” was the name of a video installation that was part of my final Time Based Art degree show in 1997. It was basically a room with a large projection screen on one wall, on the floor was a shallow tank with 3 small 1.5” video screens in the base. Hanging from the roof in front of the main screen and above the shallow tank were 3 wax hearts (casts from a mould...

This is a video I made as part of promotional material for The Factory Skatepark back in 1999. Basically the skatepark needed much larger premises and this video was part of a campaign to raise money and awareness of the project. It also marked the beginning of a long and at times painful process towards the goal of a purpose built facility. The video features a music track especially created by...

This is a video I made for an event back around 1995, it was just intended to be an introduction to the event using a cool song. The song is Radiohead’s Street Spirit and the video was basically images shot in one day around Dundee. Interestingly I had never seen the original video for this song so I had no idea that it was in black and white. The original is actually really awesome and one...

This is another video from my college days. It’s kind of a video Triptych although it’s present in sequential from in this video. I originally displayed them on 3 small 1.5” screens mounted on a wall so that you could see each of them looping constantly. The video was made using a system called Quantel Harriet which in it’s day was a very expensive piece of kit and rarely...

This was an experiment to create a panorama using multiple video clips in a similar way in which you can do with still images. I didn’t intend for it to be perfect joins nor is it taken with multiple cameras simultaneously (ala Matrix bullet time stylee!), they’re roughly overlaid inside of Flash and then exported as a video clip.

Figuring out a crucial change in spec on *the project*, a bit late in the day to find an oversight, doh! Not too big a deal but not wanted!!

Ack, having to give up on a nice Ajax interface for a form and reverting to simple drop down menus, too much opportunity for user error.

A short film made in 1995 for an event discussing issues about relationships. This is another one from the vaults, no fancy schmancy non-linear editing here, this was made the hard way on a 3 deck analogue edit suite using MII video format. It features people from my year at College as well as an American exchange student whose name I forget. It was also filmed using full size camera equipment...
